<p>Lund pattern Chess Set.</p>
<p>The kings and queens surmounted by Maltese crosses</p>
<p>and fleur de lys finals. The bishops with mitres, knights</p>
<p>with finely carved horses heads, rooks as round castellated</p>
<p>towers and pawns with fine reeded ball finals.</p>
<p>Attributable to Thomas and William Lund of Cornhill,</p>
<p>Fleet Street, London.</p>
<p>The Lunds were one of the premier 19th century ivory</p>
<p>carvers and turners.</p>
<p>Comes in period satin wood lift up top storage box.</p>
<p>King  4 inches (10cm.) high</p>
