Description
A rare pair of ladies shoe buckles, c. 1770. Close-set paste stones with amethyst and clear pastes on sterling silver backs. Chape and tongue in steel. It is rare to find these buckles with coloured stones, which are probably french. They come complete with a shagreen buckle case
